Can we bring our own roller skates or inline skates?

Yes. You are welcome to bring your own roller skates or inline skates. They must be inspected by our staff when you enter the building.

Skates that have been used outdoors or in dirty areas should be cleaned before being used on our skating floor.

Are there any age restrictions for skaters?

Skaters of all ages are welcome during our regular public skating sessions.

The exception is an event specifically advertised for a particular age group, such as our Adult Night for guests age 21 and older.

Do you have roller skates available to rent?

Yes. We have rental skates ranging from adult size 15 down to sizes small enough for our youngest skaters. If your child is old enough to walk, we can usually find a pair of skates that fits.

You may also bring your own roller skates or inline skates, subject to inspection by our staff.

How much does it cost to skate?

Admission prices vary depending on the skating session or special event. Please visit our Price & Hours page for the current schedule and prices before visiting.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, major credit and debit cards, tap-to-pay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Samsung Wallet, and most other standard contactless payment methods.

Do adults have to pay if they are not skating?

Everyone entering the building must pay either skating admission or spectator admission.

Spectators receive one complimentary fountain drink with their spectator admission.

Do I need to know how to skate?

No. Beginners are welcome at our public skating sessions. Take your time, follow the rink rules, and ask a staff member if you need assistance.

Do you have SkateMates available?

Yes. SkateMates are available during eligible skating sessions to help beginning skaters gain confidence and balance.

SkateMates are included with semi-private and full private parties. They are not included with parties held during public skating sessions.

Can children be dropped off without an adult?

Yes. Children may be dropped off for a skating session without an adult remaining in the building.

However, Skate-A-While Longer is not a babysitting service. Children are expected to follow rink rules and behave appropriately. Poor or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated, and a parent or guardian may be contacted to pick up the child.

Can we bring outside food or drinks into the rink?

No. Outside food and drinks are not permitted during regular skating sessions. This includes personal water bottles.

Guests with any pre-booked party may bring a birthday cake, cupcakes, or an ice cream cake.

For semi-private and full private parties, the party host may also bring food items that Skate-A-While Longer does not sell.

Do you offer birthday parties?

Yes. We offer several birthday-party options, including parties during public skating sessions, semi-private events, and full private-rink rentals.

Can we rent the entire skating rink?

Yes. Private and semi-private rentals are available for birthday parties, schools, churches, teams, organizations, family gatherings, and other special events.

What should I wear for roller skating?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move safely. Avoid loose, oversized, or dangling clothing and accessories that could drag on the floor or become caught while skating.

Please follow the dress code posted at the rink. Socks are required when wearing rental skates. If you forget to bring socks, they are available for purchase.

Are helmets or other protective equipment required?

Protective equipment is not required during our regular skating sessions. However, guests are welcome to wear a helmet, wrist guards, knee pads, elbow pads, or other appropriate protective equipment if they choose.

A properly fitting helmet is required for participants in our roller speed-skating clinic.

Can I leave the building and come back during the same session?

Guests under age 18 may not leave the building and re-enter without paying a new admission charge.

Adults may currently leave and re-enter during the same session. Please be aware that our adult re-entry policy may change in the future.

Do you close because of bad weather?

We try to remain open during bad weather whenever it is reasonably safe to do so.

If a session must be canceled or our hours change, we will post an update on our website and official Facebook page. Please check for updates before traveling during severe weather.

Is the skating rink air-conditioned?

Yes. Our skating area is air-conditioned, so you can enjoy skating during the warmer summer months.
