1. Who May Enter

• Entrants must be at least 18 years old.
• Adults may submit photos that include children, provided they have permission from the child’s parent or legal guardian.
• Current Skate-A-While Longer employees and their families are not eligible to enter.

2. How to Enter

To enter, you must:

• Post your photo on Facebook as a Public post.
• Tag the official Skate-A-While Longer Facebook Page.
• Include the hashtag #SkateAWhileGenerations.
• Clearly state which contest category or categories you are entering.
• Keep the original post publicly viewable through the completion of judging.

Private posts, posts that do not properly tag the Skate-A-While Longer Facebook Page, or posts that cannot be viewed by Skate-A-While Longer are not eligible.

3. Entry Period

Photos entered in the current-photo categories must be taken at Skate-A-While Longer during a skating session beginning on [ANNOUNCEMENT DATE].

Eligible photos must be both taken and submitted no later than October 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

The Best Vintage Skate-A-While Photo category has separate date requirements described below.

4. Contest Categories

Most Generations in One Photo

Show us multiple generations of your family enjoying Skate-A-While together. Generations may include biological, adoptive, step, foster, blended, or other recognized family relationships. Proof of family relationship is not required.

• Family members who are able to walk and stand on skates should be wearing skates in the photo.
• Family members who cannot reasonably skate because of age, mobility, or physical limitations may still be included and counted as a generation.
• Simply choosing not to skate does not automatically qualify someone to be counted as a generation for this category.

Best Throwback Look

Show us your best retro skating style! Entries will be judged on creativity, throwback style, overall appearance, and Skate-A-While skating spirit.

Photos in this category must be current photos taken at Skate-A-While Longer during the contest entry period.

Best Vintage Skate-A-While Photo

This category is exclusively for older Skate-A-While photos taken before March 1, 2020.

• The photo must have been taken inside Skate-A-While during a skating session.
• There must be enough recognizable detail for Skate-A-While Longer to reasonably determine that the photo was taken at the rink.
• Entries will be judged on nostalgia, historical interest, overall appeal, and how well the photo captures Skate-A-While from an earlier era.
• The age of the photo may be considered, but the oldest photo will not automatically win.

5. Photo Requirements

• Photos only. Videos are not eligible.
• No photo editing of any kind is permitted except cropping.
• AI-generated or AI-modified images are not permitted.
• Filters, retouching, object removal or addition, background replacement, color manipulation, and other conventional or digital photo alterations are not permitted.
• The submitted photo must be appropriate for a family skating-rink audience.

6. Number of Entries

• There is no limit to the number of entries a person may submit.
• Each entry must use a unique photo.
• Posting the same photo multiple times does not create additional entries.
• The same photo may be entered in more than one contest category if it qualifies.
• A person or family may win only one contest category.

8. Judging

Winners will be selected by a panel chosen by Skate-A-While Longer. Judging decisions are final.

For Most Generations in One Photo, the number of qualifying generations will be the primary consideration.

If two or more entries contain the same number of qualifying generations, additional factors may include:

• The number of people in the photo who are actually wearing skates.
• Overall Skate-A-While and skating spirit.
• Creativity and overall appeal of the photo.

9. Winner Announcement and Notification

Winners are scheduled to be announced on October 31, 2026.

Winners must respond to Skate-A-While Longer within 7 days of being notified. If a winner does not respond within that time, Skate-A-While Longer may select another eligible winner.

10. Photo Ownership and Permission

By submitting an entry, the entrant confirms that they own the submitted photo or have permission from the photo’s owner to submit and use it.

The entrant is also responsible for obtaining permission from the people shown in the photo. If a minor appears in the photo, the entrant must have permission from that minor’s parent or legal guardian.

11. Permission to Use Submitted Photos

By entering the contest, the entrant gives Skate-A-While Longer permission to share, repost, publish, display, and reuse the submitted photo at any time and in any medium, including social media, websites, email, advertising, printed material, and other Skate-A-While Longer promotional uses.

12. Ineligible Entries

Skate-A-While Longer may disqualify an entry that:

• Does not follow the contest entry instructions.
• Cannot be publicly viewed.
• Does not properly tag the Skate-A-While Longer Facebook Page.
• Does not include #SkateAWhileGenerations.
• Contains prohibited photo editing.
• Contains inappropriate, unsafe, offensive, or unlawful content.
• Appears to violate another person’s copyright or other rights.
• Misrepresents when or where a photo was taken.
• Otherwise fails to meet the requirements of the category entered.

13. Contest Administration

Skate-A-While Longer reserves the right to interpret these rules and determine whether an entry meets contest requirements.

Skate-A-While Longer may modify, suspend, or cancel the contest if circumstances beyond its reasonable control interfere with the fair or proper administration of the promotion.

14. Facebook Disclaimer

This promotion is administered by Skate-A-While Longer and is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Meta.

By entering, participants acknowledge that Facebook and Meta are not responsible for the administration of this contest or the awarding of prizes.
